Amre Supply Fabric Protector Solvent, 4L

Commercial Fabric Protector Solvent, 4 Litres/1 Gallon. A mineral spirit based repellant that will make fabric surfaces resistant to water borne stains, shed water easily and dry rapidly.

This product is a concentrated soil and water repellant ideally suited for use on upholstery, drapes, carpets and clothing and is excellent for use on both natural and synthetic fabrics. The use of this product does not affect fabric breathability as it coats the fibers without blocking fabric pores and leaves the fabric permeable to moisture vapour. Fabrics that have been properly treated with this product will become resistant to water borne stains, shed water easily and dry rapidly. It leaves no odour and does not impair fabric feel or texture. This product is not water based. It is based on odourless mineral spirits rather than chlorinated solvents and as such provides far less harmful fumes while being friendlier to the environment.

DIRECTIONS: Use full strength. Do not dilute. Test fabrics for color fastness before applying. Spray product uniformly with a fine spray onto clean fabric using a pressure spray system at 5 to 10 psi holding nozzle 8 to 10 inches from fabric. For areas particularly subject to soiling such as chair arms and cushions, a second pass can be made. Wipe off any non-fabric surfaces that may have been sprayed. The use of a drop sheet is recommended when spraying furniture. Drying time is 1 to 2 hours of air-drying. A water-resistant surface is imparted to most fibrous materials after 4 to 5 hours. Maximum resistance is obtained after 24 hours. The curing process can be accelerated by the application of heat, if desired.
