It's a good idea to replace the Bell & Gossett shaft sleeve every time you replace the seal kit. A scratched or scraped shaft sleeve can allow your pump to continue leaking - And that is not good! Replace the shaft sleeve, seal kit and volute pump body gasket every time you need to repair a leaking pump.
