Fixed a Stuck Timer on a GE Dryer

John D - toronto, ON (Jul 26, '20)

Symptom: Dryer - Will Not Start

Repair Time: 60 Minutes

Tools: basic ratchet set.

Friend called and said the knob keeps turning on dryer. Pulled off the knob and found it cracked, but couldn't turn timer with channel-locks either. Removed back panel and time. Tried taking apart the timer, but couldn't determine any issues - tiny plastic gears in place, motor spun kinda freely. Too scared to jump it to 220V to investigate further. Anyways, this part fixed it. Take pictures as you take things apart anything. Was a quick and easy fix with this part. AMRE's prices are better than the appliance part competition.
