Rainfresh Genuine OEM IM100 In-Line Refrigerator Ice & Water Filter.

This water filter cartridge is an economical choice in the reduction of chlorine taste and odour, without removing fluoride. It improves the taste and odour of your water and ice. The Rainfresh In-Line Ice and Water Filtration System is tested and certified by NSF International to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53.

This Rainfresh Refrigerator Water Filter is an external inline filter that installs on 1/4" water line. This is the line that feeds water to the fridge. The IM100 features 1/4" Female NPT connections.

Specifications:
Filter Life: 6 months or 1000 gallons (whichever comes first)
Flow Rate: 0.5 gallons per minute
Operating Pressure: 100 psi
Operating Temperature: 39-100 °F

How To Replace The Rainfresh IM100 Water Filter:
1. Turn off the water supply to the filter.
2. Dispense some water from the refrigerator to release the pressure.
3. Unscrew the brass compression nuts on both sides of the filter and remove.
4. Remove protection caps from both ends of the new filter.
5. Wrap Teflon tape on male threads of each compression fitting.
6. Screw fittings into each end of the new filter. Be careful not to cross thread. Do not over tighten.
7. Connect only the inlet end of the filter to the tubing from water source. The flow of water must be in the same direction as the directional arrow on the filter. Use a brass ferrule for copper tubing and plastic Delrin sleeve for plastic tubing. Make sure that the ferrule is snugged squarely to fitting before tightening nut. Hold fitting with one wrench while tightening nut with another wench. Do not over tighten.
8. Hold filter over bucket and flush for 10 minutes before beginning service.
9. Shut off water supply again and now connect outlet end of the filter using the same procedure as step 7.
10. Turn back on water supply.

For best performance and to ensure clean and safe drinking water, it is highly recommended to change your filter every 6 months.
