Repair Time: 20 Minutes
Tools: One adjustable wrench.
I saw one other review for this float. I only saw it because I needed to replace the float for the same reason. The pin rusted out causing a big puddle on the floor.

I purchased this product on October 11, 2019. Less than a year later, early October 2020, the pin on which the arm pivots had rusted out and prevented the valve from stopping, leading to a leak/flood in the basement (luckily, caught it early enough such that no damage done). It's a float valve - it's supposed to get wet - who makes such a item out of parts that rust!?!? The prior float valve I had for approximately 9-years before deciding to replace it, not because it was defective, but rather simply out of an abundance of pro-active maintenance. I guess they don't make 'em like the used to.

Symptom: Failure in less than a year
We also found the pin rusted in 11 months. We are stuck buying another because the plastic Wait brand will not shut the water off. Very frustrating!
