The Whirlpool Amana Clean 'N Clear Ice and Water Filtration System is tested and certified by NSF International to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53.

This Refrigerator Water Filter is used in refrigerators with a round, screw-in filter located inside the fresh food compartment above the top shelf. Simply turn the filter 1/4 turn to remove and replace. No tools required!

How To Replace The Whirlpool Amana Clean 'N Clear WF401S Water Filter:
1. Turn the used filter counterclockwise 1/4 turn and pull filter straight down. )The water shuts off automatically so you don’t have to worry about flooding your refrigerator).
2. Push the new filter straight up into the fridge and twist 1/4 turn clockwise.
3. If your refrigerator has a 'Change Filter' light, reset it.

How To Reset The 'Change Filter' Light:
1. Press the dispenser 'Lock' and 'Auto Light' buttons, at the same time, and hold them down for approximately 4 seconds.
2. Release the buttons once the filter status indicator begins to flash.

1. Press the dispenser 'Lock' and 'Water' buttons, at the same time, and hold them down for approximately 4 seconds.
2. Release the buttons once the filter status indicator begins to flash.

For best performance and to ensure clean and safe drinking water, it is highly recommended to change your filter every 6 months.
